Marquette TechFest is an action-packed, day-long festival that brings together the talent, programs, and supporters of the technology and startup ecosystem in our region to showcase to the community.
Aspiring tech entrepreneurs representing over 20 countries compete for $100,000 in cash and services, and the chance to build their businesses with support of southeast Missouri. Kids in grades 3-6 learn how to think computationally and solve problems as they make their Finch, a small robot designed for young students with simple drag and drop coding, do sweet dance moves and navigate through obstacle courses. Students work in teams, experiment and see just how code translates into the physical world.
Developers and designers come together for a 36-hour Hackathon to create tangible solutions to technology problems faced by a local organization. $5000 in prizes and the opportunity to work with the organization to fully implement the solution are up for grabs.
